After several months of rumors, Samsung has finally renewed their Galaxy J line of smartphones. The new J’s follows the same design style, but with some new touches putting them in line with Samsung’s current style. Also have a look at Samsung Galaxy S8 vs. S8 Plus.

New Samsung Galaxy J5 2017

The Samsung J5 is in the middle tier of the line, the phone comes with a “5.2 HD AMOLED screen, an Octa-core Exynos 7870 clocked at 1.6 GHz, 2GB of RAM and Android Nougat 7.0, 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128 GB with an SD Card, and as always with this line of phones, the star of the show is its cameras.

The Samsung J5 2017 has a 13 MP back camera, with a camera aperture of f/1.7 (it’s the same as the S7!) and a 13 MP f/1.9 selfie camera, gone are the days of taking selfies with your back camera and having to take more than one, just because the angle looks a bit iffy, this selfie camera is just as good as the rear one.

The J5 2017 also features 3000 mAh of battery, dual SIM capabilities (version dependent) and a fingerprint reader, pretty good, huh? Its price will be around $300 or €279.

What do you think about the phone? We’re pretty hyped about it, the J5 line, although economic, has always been one of the best options for people who don’t want to spend a lot on their new phone, but also don’t want to feel bad for having a bad phone.
