Last Update: March 2024
In 2014, Amazon launched its new and shocking product, the Echo; it consisted of a fancy home speaker that supports artificial intelligence. Better known as Alexa, this product quickly became viral, having its place in many of our houses.
Nowadays, we practically see many of the Alexa products everywhere, even in the news. But if you don’t know a thing about Amazon’s Echo, Alexa, don’t worry! We will give you a little introduction to it.
Alexa is the name given to the intelligent home assistant that works as a speaker developed by Amazon. Even though we all refer to the product as Alexa, that’s not its real name. Of course, we do that so everyone can understand what we are talking about, but Alexa is just the name of the artificial intelligence.
When we say Alexa, we usually talk about all the Amazon Echo products, such as the Echo Plus, Echo Dot, Echo Spot; and of course, the original Amazon Echo.
If you recently purchased one of these devices, you need to download the Alexa app to configure the settings. Just as Siri, the Apple virtual assistant, Alexa also has a feminine voice. Moreover, besides the fact of speaking to it when you need to perform a task; you can also have a little conversation with Alexa.
How to Connect your Echo Device to Wi-Fi 2024
Your Echo device needs a Wi-Fi network so it can perform successfully all the tasks you make it do. If you want to know how to connect Alexa Echo to Wi-Fi or if you want to connect Amazon Echo to Wi-Fi, you just need to follow the next steps:
- On the menu, select the “Settings” option.
- Choose “Device Settings”.
- Select your device.
- Select Change along to Wi-Fi Network and follow the app’s instructions.
If your Echo device has a Screen, you don’t need to use the Alexa app to connect it to a network. Instead, follow these steps:
- Say Go to “Settings”. Or also slice your finger downside from the top of the screen and choose “Settings“.
- Select “Network”.
- Choose the network you want to connect and follow the instructions given on screen.
If you can’t see your network on the screen, go downside once again to find the advanced Wi-Fi settings. Select your Wi-Fi network and put your password (if necessary). If you still can’t see your Wi-Fi network, go downside and select Add Network (this is just to see the hidden networks) or Re-detect.
